Well Read
On Wednesday we had the first ‘out loud’ reading of our script! As part of the support we have from Film London, we go to weekly development sessions (many have been taking place at the lovely Shortwave Cinema in Bermondsey) and this week they laid on some actors to read through the script. It’s brought up a few things we need to change, but also made us realise how close to finished the script is! Casting will begin soon!
Location Location Location
Darklight needs some very specific locations, and one of the key places is Anne and Sarah’s house. We’ve been out scouting everything from post-war prefabs to high-rise estates, but we’re pretty taken with this place – especially as the decor inside hasn’t been updated for a while. More pics coming soon.
Great funding news
We recently heard that Darklight has been picked as one of only three films being supported by Film London’s Southern Exposure Film Fund. It’s great news and has given the project a massive boost. We’re busy working on the final version of the script and planning to shoot from April. But we still need more support! Whether it’s a donation of funds towards Darklight, or some free food, every bit of support really helps. Keep checking back for more updates!
