Brilliant organisations who have supported us

We’re shooting Darklight with a tapeless camera (the Arri Alexa). That means big video files that require rock-solid storage. Naturally, our first port of call was the wonderful people at G-Technology because, in our opinion, they make the best range of hard drives around for media storage. They’re used throughout the media industry and it’s easy to see why. We cannot recommend them enough. Check out their website for more info.

Based at the famous Ealing Studios, MetFilm Post took on final post-production for Darklight. They graded our film in their excellent Baselight suite and gave us access to their spanking new dubbing theatre to mix the audio. Really friendly people and a great setup. What more could you want?! If you need post or finishing for film or television, then drop them a line. Check out their website for more info.

They are experts at printing graphics and imagery onto almost anything (believe us, we’ve seen their sample pack!) and they can do it at whatever size you require. Deadeye Design Ltd are experts in branding and design. They’re the guys behind our wonderful posters as well as the marketing materials we’re taking to festivals and events. Check out their website for more info.

Cato Music is an energetic, well-established, solid & highly experienced tour production company based in southwest London. One of their buildings is also hosting the set for Sarah’s bedroom and they’ve been amazingly accommodating!

We’re so pleased to have the support of the Radio Taxis Group. They’re the official taxi supplier for Darklight – and with almost 3000 cabs in London, it’s worth keeping their number handy if you ever need one: 020 7272 0272. Oh – and they’re the World’s first carbon neutral taxi company!

VMI are, in our opinion, one of the greats of camera rental and have been going since the 1970′s. They’ve got the latest kit including Alexa and Red and are always happy to help out. We’re proud to have them on board. They’ve also just moved to a spanking new premises in West London – so check them out!

Lighting is so crucial to the look of our film. Good lighting is like sound – it’s rarely noticed, yet makes such a difference. Keylight are kings of lighting and they hold an array of stock. Their very friendly staff helped us achieve the look we wanted on a budget.

We love the BFI. The work they do for new film makers and film heritage in the UK is wonderful. They also opened their doors and welcomed the Darklight team to their Southbank HQ for a screening of our finished film. For just £35 (at the time of writing) you can join the BFI for a year and its worth every penny. Their website is here.

Everyone’s scared of insurance companies and brokers… but we discovered the chaps at Performance Insurance who totally break the stereotype. They help match film makers to the right policy and offer off the shelf packages for low budget film makers too. Their website is here.

Fraikin are one of the largest commercial vehicle fleet services companies in the UK, providing contract hire, fleet management and rental solutions for over 30 years. They kindly loaned Darklight a production van. Their website is here.

Access Bookings are dedicated TV & Film Accommodation Specialists available 24/7 365 for all cast and crew rooming requirements. More information can be found on their website.

Darklight is set in 1992 – so for our exterior scenes we needed to make sure we had vehicles from the right period. The Gay Classic Car Group – a group for lesbian and gay classic car enthusiasts – came to our aid and supplied a street full of retro wheels. Discover more on their website for more info.

They’re supplying us with a range of vintage style light fittings and traditional filament lightbulbs which would look brilliant in any home.
